Physician Case Management
The patient's physician determines and manages the treatment plan throughout the entire homecare period. Wilcox Home Infusion maintains close contact with the patient and the physician at all times.

Patient Support
Wilcox Home Infusion nurses and pharmacists are available 24 hours a day. Our locally based program assures that our clinicians can provide both immediate, after hour, and on-going support for the patient, the family, and the caregiver.

Patient Education
Each individual Wilcox Home Infusion patient or designated caregiver is thoroughly trained in aseptic technique and catheter care - when appropriate - by registered nurses and/or clinical pharmacists. Nurses are present at each infusion until the patient demonstrates proper and safe therapy administration. Patients are also provided with our step-by-step training manuals and may call us at any time.

Patient Monitoring
Each patient is regularly assessed and monitored by Wilcox Home Infusion registered nurses and pharmacists. Each patient contact is accurately documented, and physicians receive regular patient progress reports or verbal communication to help them assess progress.

Pharmacy Services
Each prescribed parenteral solution is prepared under a laminar flow hood to the physician's specifications by an Wilcox Home Infusion pharmacist.

Delivery
Patients receive the added emotional assurance that their pharmaceuticals and supplies are delivered in a timely, safe and professional manner, wherever they live. Since we don't deliver in bulk, we can quickly react to prescription changes, minimizing waste and expense.

Supplies and Equipment
Wilcox Home Infusion provides infusion pumps, I.V. poles, dressing and catheter care kits, plus all other supplies and equipment needed.

Reimbursement Specialists
All charges for pharmaceuticals, supplies and services are billed directly to payers by our reimbursement staff. optioncare can also assist in verifying and obtaining approval for reimbursement.
